Bispec is available in several editions: Trial, Student, Professional and Advanced. See the Feature Comparison page for more information.
Bispec can be licensed as a Standalone or Network based license as follows:
  • Each Standalone license allows the use of the software on a single computer. It is most suitable for individual users and small offices. 
  • Network licenses include a hardware key that can be installed on your network, and can allow any computer on the network to run the software. It is ideal for larger companies and educational institutions and companies with multiple offices.

Educational Diccount
We provide an educational discount of up to 50% on all educational Bispec purchases. In addition, we provide free Student licenses (see below).
Educational institutions can obtain permanent students licenses for installation in computers labs and for class use, at significant discounts.
Free Trial Licenses
You can download a free 7-day trial version of Bispec from the Bispec download page.
Free Student Licenses
Since its creation in 1999, Bispec has been used by thousands of students to learn the basics of earthquake engineering and perform seismic research.
We are continuing to offer free student licenses to members of educational institutions who need to use Bispec for educational purposes.
Proof of educational status is required.
To obtain a free student license, please do the following:
  1. Download the trial version of Bispec from the Bispec download page.
  2. When you start Bispec, you will get the licensing screen, click on the "Request Code" button.
  3. You will be taken to a website where you can enter your contact information. A
    ".edu" email address or other proof of educational status is required.
  4. Hit the "Submit" button to request your license.
  5. Your license will be emailed to you within a few days. Student licenses are valid for a limited time (currently for 1 month).
